Some ground rules:

Oh, yeah, I know that many of his fans are perfectly aware of what they're seeing and like him as a character and know that he's not this SUPER AWESOME MAN WHO IS HELLUVA LOT STRONG AND DOES WHATEVER HE WANTS AW YEAH.

Flawed characters are neat, but, seriously, it's like some works need a disclaimer from the author saying something like, "This is a work of fiction, these are people with shitty attitudes who are not perfectly good people despite fighting evil — please don't emulate them, these sorts of behaviors are terrible in real life and are the mark of terrible people, not cool people, please don't imitate them, okay? Okay.

PS: Same goes for villains. Please improve your judgement of character."

I shouldn't say anything because some of my favourite characters are villain types (More 80's comic-era Magneto than Rorschach, though, if that means anything to you), but, yeah, recognize the difference between things that sound cool in fiction but aren't so great in real life and traits that can and maybe should be emulated on your quest to be a functional member of society.
