[ Anon Meme ]
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-31 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)YMMV, and honestly, you should write whatever you like. As long as you give fair warning for less common fetishes or stuff that people might have a problem with like rape/inflation then nobody has a right to hold it against you. And occasionally, a kink you think nobody likes actually turns out to be pretty popular. ie: BDSM is one of those that a surprising amount of people are into.
Don't write pairs you're not into or write what you *think* other people find sexy. Thats how you get dull shit that reads like a crap porn clip. And if the author isn't enjoying it, it usually comes out in the writing and lessens its quality. If you want genuine stuff, write what you're into, and write a pairing you have a lot of affection for. Even if it's a little unpracticed, your love will come out in the writing and you'll enjoy it a lot more too.
Ask for crit. Be gracious if you get it and listen to what's said, but realize people's preferences do vary. It's not bad to say 'please be gentle, it's my first time writing porn', people will understand.
And don't be afraid. Just by worrying about your quality you're already better than a lot of authors out there who just write whatever and don't even proofread it. You can do it, nonny!
