[ Anon Meme ]
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Re: TMI thread
(Anonymous) 2012-07-31 10:24 am (UTC)(link)I went back after four weeks and was like 'um, I've been bleeding for a month, is this normal?' and they just shot me a dirty look and went 'it'll stop eventually, god, why are you so impatient'. I went back again after eight weeks and was like 'Please let me take something with oestrogen so I will stop bleeding, I am not okay with this' and they pretty much told me to fuck off and stop being so impatient again.
After that I decided I'd just stick it out, but did post on Scarleteen once I'd hit thirteen weeks to make sure I wasn't about to die or seriously damage my uterus or something, and once they were all 'yeah if you've been bleeding for three months then you're unlikely to ever stop' I marched back to the health centre, saw a doctor rather than a nurse, and was given another pill. I had to finish the packet though I think, but I stopped bleeding three days after I stopped taking the Cerazette and have had a normal cycle since.
(The Pill they gave me to take made me depressed, clingy and anxious though, so I had to change it again to one that made me feel sick all the time, but the latter I don't really mind.)
TL;DR The Student Health Centre basically hate students and refused to give me another prescription even though I went back twice, and contraceptives also really hate me for some reason.

fuck those people who told you to suck it up
fuck them so hard
I don't care if they were busy or whatever other reason they might have had, that was horribly unprofessional and if they're like this with other people too they might end up causing someone serious harm that could have been prevented
fuck this pissed me off

(Anonymous) 2012-08-01 10:35 am (UTC)(link)I think the thing that irritated me the most about them wasn't that they obviously didn't give a shit, because I kind of expect that from the Student Health Centre (if you go to them with any complaint that doesn't have obvious physical evidence chances are they'll tell you to drink less, sleep more and fuck off, or that you just have a cold) but that they seemed to think I was enormously thick.
I'm a Biology student. I did A-level Human Biology, which involves pretty in depth study of the menstrual cycle and how contraceptives work. I've taken the Pill before, which is on my file. I don't need to be told very slowly using short words that, for example, I have to take my Pill every day. Admittedly some people might have to be, because I probably had better sex ed than most (sourced almost entirely from Scarleteen might I add, my school taught abstinence-only) but it still felt very patronising.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-01 10:46 am (UTC)(link)Huh, that is interesting. I wasn't told any specific dates by which I could expect it to stop by, just that eventually it would and that after that point I wouldn't bleed at all. I was on progestrone-only though, so it might be different for that. Thanks for the advice though, I do appreciate it.
