Yeah I shipped it hard, back in the day. Back when the Simpsons was still remotely relevant.

I actually swing in the opposite direction - seeing Edna finally dump Skinner and go for a man who actually loves and appreciates her was one of the best things about the new episodes.

I don't think Skinner didn't love her, but he was never going to commit to her and his mother always came first. After years of being yanked along even the most patient woman has to get sick of that.

It was also great that she wasn't attacked or villainised in show for moving on. I just think it was handled pretty well for something like the Simpsons.

Who did she dump him for/is she currently dating? I haven't seen the Simpsons in a long time.

I was surprised by the happiness edna/flanders gave me I didn't think anything for them separated but together they are so interesting for me and it makes me happy that they are with someone and they seem kind of happy so is good poor skinner tho but if he had left his MOM....

The decline of their relationship started at about the same time as the decline of the show. I don't think the writers really knew what to do with them, and breakup was the easy option. I'm one of those Simpsons fans who keeps the good ten-ish years in an unspoilt little bubble, so join me in ignoring everything written after that.

I'm still kind of a Simpsons newbie, so I can't say for certain since I certainly haven't seen all the episodes, but from what I did see I loved them together. The episode where they got together; they were everything I want in a ship. I love Edna, and I think Principal Skinner is pretty adorable in a faily way, and idk, I love coworker romances. I think she and Ned are cute together, too, but these two will always be my simpsons OTP.

I don't like the Nedna pairing - I ship Skinner/Edna. I think he understands her more than Ned ever will.
