It's rather obscure. . .

When a character is possessive enough of another character (whether romantically or otherwise) to the point that they want to literally see inside of them through dissection or other scientific/medical means.

It's not exactly an 'immediately get me off' sort of thing, but I like it a little TOO much, you know?

I feel a bit ashamed of it because talking about it makes me sound like a serial killer. Plus, dissecting & analyzing things is a major part of my school training, so I feel like I shouldn't enjoy it in fiction as much as I do. . .

The first thing that popped into my head was Sherlock. It'd be awesome to have creepy!Sherlock display this behavior towards John, so I don't know if I share your kink, but I'd be more than willing to read a good fanfic for it.
Is there any fandom where you've found this to be very suited for the characters?

Yeah, the fandom is Sherlock.

Umm there's quite a few fics that have at least a tiny bit of it in there.

"Your Body Before Me" by etothepii is a dissection one.

"The Paradox Series" by wordstrings has a lot of it.

"The Anatomist" has a bit of it.

"Although the Brightest Fell" by justwolf has some.

*cough* also I'm sort of writing a creepy!Sherlock fic that has a lot to do with dissection, autopsy, and a bit too much fondness for dead organs.

It *is* possible then, just not advisable. I just pictured some bizarre alien scenario with some eldritch horror thrown in for good measure. Something so elaborate not even a good costume would recreate it.

IDK I kind sort of see that. A lot of people are into gore and stuff like that and it's not that they want to go out and hurt people, it's just that seeing the inside of bodies and stuff excites them. TBH I find cross sections of tissue and dissections interesting to look at, though I don't get aroused by them

I did, however, get really excited by THE SOLID FLAVOR INJECTOR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrccEj-nSXI) (and later the time lapse meat cooking in the Flavorwave Turbo oven)

Yeah. It's not even the vivisection/dissection itself (which I quite enjoy but don't really get TURNED ON by) but it's the intimacy of seeing inside a lover that I really like the idea of.

There's a great fill on the original ST Reboot meme that you might like - it's a mental hospital AU where Kirk is convinced the normal ST universe is real, and McCoy's in there because he started killing people under his care. He has fantasies about cutting Jim open to see his insides and whatnot, and it's all tied up with his feelings for him. I don't have a link handy unfortunately, but someone else might
