Buffy recs?

I recently started watching Buffy, which is great. Unfortunately, I've only seen the first season, and I'm about fifteen years too late to not blunder into spoilers everywhere I go. Therefore, does anyone have fic recs that don't spoil past the first season? I ship almost everybody with dialogue and sapience, except for Buffy's Mom, the Anointed, and Angel/Buffy.

Halp? Anything would be awesome.

I only watched buffy sporadically and vaguely remember a few characters, but I was going to recommend you this story but it's definitely not just season one

Synopsis: Set in early Season 1, they discover something is abnormal about three paintings in the gallery.
Comments: I'll be honest, it isn't perfect. Setting a story in early Season 1 will cause that, especially if you try to nail the characters as they were then. So the fact that the author does it extremely well is to be complimented. Even Dawn, who is in this, is done well and realistically, despite five years between the setting and when you have a canon version of her to go with. So, with allowances to that, the story is exceptional. The only one that feels OOC is The Mayor.

Doesn't that spoil past season 1 since it has Dawn in it?

I don't have any recs since I never read fic for this fandom, but I think it'll be a tall order to rec stuff that doesn't mention things past season 1, especially since any old school fic has probably been lost over the years.

My advice to the OP would be to wait to read fic if you want to avoid spoilers.
