I think it's because many writers don't use it as a kink or genre, but shoehorn it EVERYWHERE, not just on the pwps or the specifically labeled "seme/uke" fics.

Anon wasn't talking about fic though. They were talking about yaoi the genre as in original series.

Case in point: they compared it to "gay porn," not "slash fic."
