6. Normally I'd be right with you on this, but "yuuutsu" just looks silly, and most non-native Japanese speakers are going to be able to time the mora properly anyway. That said, weird romanization drives me nuts, and it's gotten so bad that there are titles who don't even romanize consistently within the title. Take, for example, the official, licensor-mandated title for a new show about a kid wizard in olden Japan: "Shonen Onmyouji." Try to guess why this drives me crazy.
Me, I just write 憂鬱 and be done with the whole mess.

WTF. I don't even speak more than a couple dozen words in Japanese, and even I can see how mesed up that is.
Shonen Onmyoji? Okay. Shounen Onmyouji? Better. "Shônen Onmyôji"? My personal favorite style of romanization.
Shonen Onmyouji? FAIL.
