Gah, for 6 I hadn't even been thinking about the romanization method that omits long vowels. So if the person's been spelling things like "shojo" and "shonen," then "yuutsu" is actually correct... er. Yes.

Most people on the Internet now do bother to show that the vowels are elongated and write "ou" or "oo" instead of "o," so I guess that's why it bugs me more.
