As a joke a while back, I made a theory that Hodor was going to become king at the end of the A Song of Ice and Fire series and the last line will be:

Hodor, said King Hodor.

Or that Rickon is going to become king and Shaggydog will be his Hand.

Anyone else have any totally absurd theories you've come up with and kind of started to believe? (Please tell me I'm not alone lol)

Yup! I usually come up with them at like...3am and can't completely remember them the next day...but at the time I totally believe in them [and I've heard some pretty interesting ones too, that I ended up kind of liking enough to go with.]

I thought this was going to be about theories you hear in fandom that make you want to bang your head against the wall, like two actors on a certain show are a couple (in spite of evidence to the contrary), or production designers for Prometheus copied elements Mass Effect 3 (filming on Prometheus started months before ME3 rolled into production), or attempting to make sense of the end of Evangelion or The Prisoner in terms of Freud and Kafka.

The Avatar, from A:tLA, has Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, right?

And Captain Planet is made from all of those plus Heart, right?

And as we all know Captain Planet is Clow Reed, right?

And we all know that Heartless, from Kingdom Hearts, are, well, heartless, right? (I'm going from the first game only.)

So I believe Clow Reed, also known as Captain Planet, got jiggy with a Heartless and had the Avatar.

For a serious fan theory, I made up my own reason for the Reapers in Mass Effect.

My idea was that there were two factions, or more, of the First Race. Let's say it was the Keepers. The Keepers created the ultimate weapon, their battleship Reapers. Built out of the Keepers (the First Race), the reapers were able to not only fight the Keeper's enemies but indoctrinate them into their way of thinking. The Keepers programmed three things into the Reapers, to keep Keepers safe, to slay Keeper enemies or indoctrinate them to their side, and to multiply. Well, the reapers found out how to do those things but in unconventional ways when they started to gain sapience. They bioengineered the Keepers so they were too dumb to ever start a war or know what one was. Now there were no enemies to fight. Then, due to their replication program they set everything up, the Citadel, the mass relays, so that they can cull more organics so they can make more of themselves. Which could also be considered killing Keeper enemies. The Reapers are technically just following their programming. They're keeping the Keepers safe, killing enemies, and multiplying.

I haven't played or thought about that game in years but it keeps being relevant today somehow

Cloud is secretly a Nobody in the Kingdom Hearts games Sephiroth is his heartless. That's why Seph has that weird "I am you" line, why people keep saying they look alike, and why Cloud is ~~so OOC~~ so much more emotionless than he is in FF7.

i've got it in my head that blade runner and avatar are in the same universe as alien and predator.

The first time I saw The Avengers, I thought Nick was hiding something devious under his eyepatch, because his dark veins of doom looked like they were getting darker and doomier as the film went on. >______> In my defense, it was like 2:00 AM and I'd been at the theatre since like 9:00 AM. Not at my cleverest.

Mine is that the protagonist of Pokemon Black and White 2 are robot clones of the characters from Pokemon Black and White. :/

After staring at zoomed-in pictures of Xigbar/Braig and Master Xehanort for far too long, I came to the conclusion that the two are somehow related. Then KH3D happened and I was like, "Well." O__o

Mine is that Mr. Salacia (The guy who always says they won't take action on whatever Dethklok is doing) actually wants to usher in the apocalypse and he's the one who formed the band and got everything rolling in the first place. That includes the fact that when they all signed on and Toki wasn't there, Mr. Salacia was either mistaken about the last element or not finished. Maybe Toki is a foil, since his skills are far below everyone else's.
