Dude, I understand being annoyed at pseudo-science sometimes, but it's the entire basis of this universe. It's basically a universe where the laws of physics are different than ours.

Although it would be fun to see people clamoring over Betty Ross asking her how she and Bruce came up with a formula that totally demolished the Law of Conservation of Mass...

Yeah, the scene in the non-Ang-Lee Hulk movie where he transforms on the table and clearly, blatantly gains many times his own mass from nothing blew my suspension of disbelief, and I'd managed to maintain it up until that point. Somehow that particular manifestation is what did it for me, when I'd been managing to ignore it up until then.

Huh, it didn't blow my suspension of disbelief because, but I totally know what you mean with that scene. Maybe it was the way he just...gets bigger....in that scene, instead of looking like he's bulging and inflating and exploding out of himself, like other transformations? I mean, with the Hulk, the size change doesn't bother me because I usually think of it as Bruce having the Hulk all squashed and compressed and trapped under his skin under a load of pressure and the Hulk comes bursting out when Bruce can't withstand the pressure any more. Still makes no sense scientifically because what the hell how can that work, there's no way that could work in a human body, Bruce would still weigh a ton more (P = MV), yada yada yada, but it makes sense mentally if you know what I mean.

Like, in The Avengers when he transformed on the Helicarrier, it looked like a physical representation of someone finally just losing their temper after being constantly pushed and stressed and having the bullshit piled on, and completely exploding out of control. Like, if you asked someone to describe what it's like to fly into a rage, that could be a very apt metaphor. So "wait wait that wouldn't work" never crossed my mind, whereas there was no metaphorical factor in that TIH scene to allow it to make "sense".
