Not automatic, but yeah, basically. There's an interview process, and you have to take a standardized test, and you go through rigorous training, and if you do well enough, then you get commissioned. Your degree doesn't really matter, either, unless you're going for specific jobs.

At least that's for the Air Force. I don't know about the other branches.

Clearly Canada needs to start more wars. Then college kids would be in higher demand.
