(genuinely curious) what aspect of being trans keeps you from being eligible?

The military only cares about your biological sex at birth, not your gender identity. So, if say, anon is a transman, they would still have to present as a woman, be housed with women and face all the same limitation women face in the military (eg, not able to serve in direct combat positions).
