I can get this. I never had a 'crush' on Jason Voorhees but he was my favourite movie character when I was a kid. I thought he was cool and scary -- something like Darth Vader, but nastier, and with a similar tragic backstory. Meant a lot to me as an embittered young outcast, at least symbolically.

Many years later I'm still a massive horror fan and yes, I've built a pretty authentic and impressive Jason costume ;)
