I guess. I don't know anyone that uses it like that anymore. Much like many words we use that have evolved from their original meaning. I mean at one point 'gay' meant someone who was hedonistic and we know that it means now...

I don't think it's completely divorced itself from the same kind of derrogatory remark aimed at women feel though. Of course people using it more in different ways might be the best way to accomplish that.

I think because, especially now, people keep trying to remind everyone what it meant. If the language police just let it go it wouldn't matter because we'd end up with new ones eventually anyway. I mean I know I don't still call people ninnyhammers or strumpets.
