I have a fic like that - not in the same fandom, but I'd pay to see it finished.

I have fics I check like that. And fics I have wasted far too much time trying to find and never finding again. (Icon relevant to fandom for all of these things.)

Annnd I have never finished writing anything longer than a one-shot. Woe.

I always wonder when fics this long and that have obviously required so much effort languish unfinished, what happened to the author? Did they die? Are they in a coma somewhere? Did they just lose interest and walk away?

That's such a good fic, I'd love to see it updated too. There are quite a few fics that I'd love an update for, actually.
