Okay, not THAT dumb, I got the humor and loved your last reply.

As far as hypocrite goes, i've seen several uses of the term in other posts here and wanted to make sure I understood the OP's intent. I've been at cons where people in fandoms revealed themselves as totally not who they were online. And I've met people who were exactly as i thought they would be. I don't think fandom has cornered the market in two-faced folk.

Thank you for giving me a decent answer though. I'd rather ask and look like an idiot than post something completely wrong and look even more stupid.

Yeah, I think fandom's about fifty fifty on the 'revealing' aspect. I really do think OP was talking more about beliefs. I think everyone's a bit hypocritical about their beliefs sometimes.
