I hate that so much. It just creates wank. I especially hate it when someone who ships what I do does this to a rival pairing, as it just makes us look bad.

I almost love when that happens. Depending on the ship's fanbase, they can get overwhelmingly dogpiled by it's stans, and then the person makes another post either apologizing, or stirring up more wank because they can't believe the ship's fans are so mean to people with opinions, man, this is AMERICA they post what they want. They're usually the type of fan that actually doesn't interact with the fannish parts of fandom (fic, art, meta, etc.), but have somehow existed on tumblr this long without exposure. So they also tend to be anti-slash (f/f, m/m), and say things like, "Korra can't like giiiiiirls. She's in love with Mako, she's not gaaaaay," and the wank is beautiful.

But then the stans make posts complaining dumbasses mucking up the tag, and several un-cut text posts about how their ship is so canon.

And then it just becomes second-hand embarrassment.

I will consider doing so if you believe Europe and Asia to be one continent.

If you consider them separate and yet turn around and refer to North and South America as one continent, then as far as I'm concerned, your geographical argument is invalid.

(I say this only because I have met people who follow this flawed process of thought.)

In South America we are teached(in the schools) that the whole America is one big continent, still North America is more than USA and if you use North America for USA you still a been a nationalist twat.

And I hate than anything even remotely negative is considered a wank bait. I often write critiques on characters I actually like in my blog and so often I get anonymous messages about how I should not use the tags to spread the negativity...oh tumblr.

Sometimes I will think my stuff was reblogged because someone agreed with me, but it turns out they're reblogging to show what a total idiot I am by responding within their tags about how wrong I am and how could I hate this perfect character by saying they have imperfections. Fandom there is definitely all about the over-investment of feels whoops.

I find the bitching to be worse than the tagged hate because it comes off so much as "I can't handle seeing negativity aimed at my babbies!" Just assume that this person tagged it so other people who also dislike the person/pair will find it and move the fuck on. The world will still turn if you don't address every incident of tagged character dislike.

(I've also gotten yelled at because an untagged post I made showed up in the tags of a character I was criticizing and I got dogpiled for tagging my hate by FOUR PEOPLE who then proceeded to junk up the same tag complaining about tagged hate)
