Price isn't everything. I thought it was too. I was spending the same amount for cuts as you and hating it every time. It became so bad that I threw my hands up and said, "I give up. I am just going to cut my hair anywhere." And I ended up going to Great Clips of all places because I just wanted short hair again. That's where I found the stylist who knew what she was doing. I spent so much money only to find a place that gives $15 dollar haircuts to be the best one.

Just go in places and ask, "Who does the best layering?" You will surprise how many stylist are willing to point to people other than themselves. (No stylist wants to be known for giving bad cuts.)
