Oh, god, I'm an awful person though because I haven't read a whole fictional book in eight months.

But I legit didn't know about this website. This is crazy! Why did she put so much effort into this. So much for letting your work stand on its own. . .

/Or more likely hired someone to do it as some of the reviews were actually well written.

Yeah, you can't get much more than insecure than deleting dozens of comments from POC and telling them that they're just racist towards white people and are sabotaging her efforts at eliminating racism.

Actually a lot of the things she said in her book made it seem like she had a little vendetta against black women...

Wasn't there something or other where she said at one point she herself felt oppressed by the n word because someone flung it at her because she had curly hair or something? I saw that vaguely passing around tumblr at some point, but I haven't really been on lately so I didn't pay too much attention to it.

I would say "maybe her husband had an affair with a black woman" but a person from a marginalized group burning you in some way does not give you the right to be a prejudiced asshole against everyone else from the same marginalized group.

I couldn't download the book itself(even though I quite like to know exactly what to be upset about) because my Adobe reader is a fuckwad :/

Ooh maybe I'll just skip it then. I'm on this "pearls before coals" website where a girl snarkily reviews each chapter and that's doing me just fine.

. . .I am also a 'finisher', at least when it comes to super horrible things. I listened to an entire audio-reading of "Cupcakes." The psychological burns have not yet left me.

Why would you do that? Did you not know what it was when you started listening? Or was it a dramatic reading and you somehow thought it would be funny?

I was listening to it with someone else, we knew it had a vaguely bad reputation, we started listening, it became horrifying and. . .I felt bad for not finishing what we had started? I wanted to stick it out, for some reason. I think listening to it in the first place was her idea and I made the both of us stick it out out of spite. Also, I kept hoping it would get less horrifying, but it never did. The guy who was reading it aloud was equally horrified and kept telling that to the recording.

It was sad for a while though because Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony and my friend always compared me to Pinkie Pie and that had. . .implications for a little while after we listened to Cupcakes.

Sometimes I wish there were just a lot fewer. . .men. . .in the MLP fandom, at least fewer men who enjoy pony porn and/or write grimdark fanfictions about adorable ponies. I can't even surf the tumblr tag without finding buckets of lesbian pony porn.

I CAN'T EVEN SAFE SEARCH SOME NAMES OF PONIES WITHOUT IMMEDIATELY FINDING PORN. God, I love the show, and I think a lot of the stuff the fandom creates is great, but there's a huge dark side to it that I am not fond of at all.

Edit: I don't mean to kink shame, I just think the fandom is really rude about tagging and they don't make any effort to hide any of their explicit shit. AT LEAST TAG YOUR PONY PORN WITH #LESBIANPONYPORN OR SOMETHING.

It bothers me how easily some kid who likes MLP could come across their stuff. My sister was talking about MLP the other day and I almost leapt out of my skin to yank the computer way.

I'm not really into the MLP fandom anymore because I got so sick of all the neckbeard dudebros who think I should be thankful they're there because the fact that they have a Y chromosome and like it validates it. Like I couldn't properly enjoy it before men approved. Ugh.
