I'm from a different country but over here we have a similar service and they really helped me. There might also be 24h crisis centers in your city which you can go to at any point. You should maybe research them in case this happens again and you need a safe place to go to.

I did it when I first came here. I loved seeing fandoms coming and going, but I definitely prefer the way each secret now has its own thread in the commenting section.

i love old wank that does not involve any fandom i'm particularily invested in. just finished plowing through the cassandra claire wank today (no idea how i even got started reading that) and that was just a blast.
not big on any wank about the fandoms i'm in, though. those just irritate me.

i've been avidly following FS for a period of years, but at one point i abruptly stopped reading for like a solid year. when i eventually came crawling back, i read every single post i had missed. once you start backtracking, it gets hard to stop.

I do this quite a bit!

For example, I remember that a couple months ago, someone posted a repeat-secret about being not being able to enjoy black characters ("I would have adored her (Martha Jones) if...I would have shipped them (Crockett and Tubbs) if...I would have watched it (Psych) if....")

Now, I realized immediately that it was a repeat from, like, three or four years ago because that exact secret is one of the images on fanlore's "Race and Fandom" page. So I went to the secret post the secret was originally posted in and looked at the original wank from 2008 or 2009 or whatever, and then compared it to the repeat-secret wank from 2012 (it didn't get taken down for quite a while, probably because it was so old). And yeah, the 2012 one was a lot calmer and more "lol are you serious?"

As above, petty things.

Like spelling, or semantics. Wank over slang terms in one country versus another. Pirating drama. OH, America has it hard saving the world wank, I LOVE THAT. Will chuckle randomly all day.

I'm not big on dark and twisted, it's the comedic value I'm into, but hell yes I love this ship.

As bad as it is, I love SJ wank, especially if curseangel is involved. It just gets so goddamn ridiculous so goddamn quickly. I also like to poke the SJWs AND the anti-SJWs.

I just love the secret-explosions, where a load of people post a blizzard of secrets about one fandom and almost every day you get to see some nice topical wank. :)

But I will certainly prefer some mediums for some pairings over others. I also tend to ignore the canon couples in fandom because they're canon. I've got my fix, time to go read/look at art of the noncanon OTPS

Didn't like those moments either tbh. Those to me were also worse than what he did to Shae. But Tyrion's also in an incredibly dark place.

If you're referring to the prostitute he bedded, I didn't like the scene either but I don't think that was rape (given that, you know, she's a prostitute that he paid for). He even offered to let her kill him and deliver his head so she could reap the rewards that Cersei would give but she didn't understand him.
