#2 - I thought they were cute. :X

#10 - And people don't necessarily hate it for the reasons you name, too. Speaking only from personal experience (yay, more useless anecdotal evidence!) if people just don't like a game, they say, "Nah, don't want to play, not my cup of tea." If someone feels the need to run around badmouthing a game, they often have a much more personal reason. Otherwise, why waste the energy? Meh. Who knows.

#12 - People keep getting on my case to see the movies, even though I don't care about those. -.- I understand liking them and all, but just because I read the books doesn't mean I want to watch all the movies and fangirl about the actors and all the other crap. Maybe I just want to read the books and be left alone. They'll come back out of it soon, though, right? At leas the last book's done and over with now. And... I didn't really like books 5 & 6. I wonder what about the books after 4 turned you off. Maybe it's the same thing that bothered me...

#16 - That's really sad. :(

#18 - ILU XD

because this is a secrets community where people can share their secrets? perhaps they are tired of holding it in that they don't like a RPG in the face of their friends who they don't want to hurt.

Otherwise, why waste the energy? Meh. Who knows.

this can be said about 90% of the secrets here as well, yet no one really seems to feel the need to rally the troops to come in and defend their fandom. only RPers in the game involved in the secret seem to do that.

Certainly a good point.

Were you one of the meteorologists predicting the wank hurricane in the last secret post? Perhaps you're looking in different places from me, but I've yet to see a sign that anyone has "rallied the troops," just like I've failed to spot the wank. Care to enlighten me?

(Since I'm already hopelessly clueless, considering I didn't know what the hell IAWTS was. :X )

It was Harry's descent into whiny angsty emo boy that turned me off the other books after four. D: He was cool in four. He didn't rape Ron's little sister in book four.

And the movies? I personally think they're...well, not that great. I do go out and see them for reasons I don't even know why, but they're not that amazing. XD; I also like to rave about the actors--and not in the good way eiter.

I thought the whole craze would be over and then I remembered that there are two more movies yet to be released. D8 Ugh.

Well writing-wise, I think the series definitely hit its peak with GoF. So, uh...you got out just in time? xD There are a lot of things I dislike about HP, but I still like being a part of fandom. *shrug*

Book four was my favourite. XD

I was never really in the fandom and I dunno if I could ever be there. I'm more of a Star Wars person than a HP person. XDD

I tried to be empathetic about Harry's emo, since he was having a rather rough time, and I just... couldn't. I think the problem was that he's never been my favorite character anyway. ^^; I've always liked Ron far better.

And the books aren't the greatest things ever, so it's a bad thing when I feel like the movies don't even reach that level. It's like, woo, special effects. It was cooler when I just imagined it. I kind of hope the movies will get people to read the books, and reading is good, but I think it's all too possible that the movies might be a substitute. >.>

XD Ron > Harry. But then again, I was always a Cedric fan. >:D

Yeahh. D: Truthfully, I thought the fifth movie was better than the fifth book, but I didn't particularly like the fifth book. But the previous movies were not as good as the books. XD

I just think it's nice to see all that magic CG-afied sometimes. But other than that, eh.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I would have to think there was some personal slighting or something if people didn't just sort of shrug off their dislike and get over it.
