6. Some of us were at ff.n when it was actually a pretty good site. And not all authors realize there's better ones out there - and not all fandoms have anywhere else.

That said, I do have to admit, I don't go much anymore, and I do encourage ff.n authors I encounter to go elsewhere.

12. *Nods* It's hard, isn't it? I've been there with friends from other fandoms - it almost makes me dislike those other shows/books/whatever.

That said, part of me also feels guilty, because I have a feeling as far as Harry Potter is concerned, I'm one of those fans you're talking about. :/ My LJ tends to be taken over by HP related things more than anything else. So I'm also guilty. Heh. All I can say to that is, I don't mean to do it, nor do Ithink anyone does. It just happens, because where else but LJ and chats and such can you be obsessive?

18. I wish I knew myself.

As someone more than a little out of the loop - what other elsewheres are available? All I can remember off the top of my head is Ficwad.

I dunno, it depends on your fandom. Which, of course, was my second point - not all fandoms have great fic sites, especially the smaller/newer ones. So yeah. :/ And there's LJ comms, but for one of my fandoms, (Heroes), the LJ comm is more for slashers and Paire shippers, where I ship mainly canon and genfic.
