omg Earth 2 secret!

I never really thought about fic or fandom for this show, but now that I have...I want slash with the android teacher guy. Or het. Maybe DoctorLady/AndroidDude. I don't care who with as long as it's not with Morgan (I think that was his name? He was the jerky dude married to the waveyhaired lady.

Heh, yes the jerky dude is Morgan Martin. I actually sort of like him, or I like that they had a character who was so hard to like. I thought the writers did a really good job at fleshing out the characters, making them individuals.

As for the fic, if you find the slash, let me know where. ;-) It's pretty easy to find Devon/Danziger, Julia/Alonzo, and some Morgan/Bess. So far, I've only seen one Yale (aka AndroidDude) romance fic.

I really shouldn't complain, I've found a lot of fic for a show that's been off the air for so long. I'm just getting a teensy bit greedy, that's all.

EARTH2!!!! And geez, has it really been 20 years?

And apparently I've been a fan of Jessica Steen since I was 15 and didn't even know it....

I guess it's actually only 18 years old - aired in 1994/95. & I'm not sure what Jessica Steen is doing now, but I thought she was great in Earth2!

I've been wanting to watch this show (mostly because unf, Clancy Brown). It's been in my queue for forever. Maybe I'll watch an episode tonight.

Yes. *swoon* It is Clancy Brown. Not OP, so I can't tell you more. This secret/thread is making me want to watch this show, though.

My eyes gravitated right to him. I watched a couple of episodes of Earth 2, but it was before I was really aware of him. Now... CLANCY BROWN.

Yes, it is indeed Clancy Brown - and he has loads of screen time, and lots of UST with the lead. If you need a Clancy Brown fix, this show should do it for you! It was also a change of pace for me to see him as a good guy, I think most of the shows I've seen him in, he's been a bad guy.

Just a warning, though, that the show does end on a cliffhanger that's never resolved. :-/

Ooh, I'm always anxious about recs (because maybe I don't really have good taste). :-)

But, one of my favorite reads so far has been Nic Mayer's "Auryn", which I found in a link at http://www.reocities.com/Area51/Vault/8356/ficearth2.htm - She's got some other long fics that I've downloaded and am in the process of reading.

And I actually found a lot of good fic at Fanfiction.net, especially the longer ones (I filtered at 40K words and really liked a lot of those stories) - maybe it's because it's such an old fandom, but there doesn't seem to be as much badfic there.

Man, I loved this show! I always though the inclusion of Tim Curry was kinda creepy, but I always wanted to know more. And I adore Clancy - have since he was the bad ass in Highlander. Which is getting remade with Ryan Reynolds, and no Clancy, so it will suck.

Boo! They should at least include a Clancy cameo.

This secret makes me feel old.

Hahaha oh man. My father and I used to watch this together. I was so young, I can barely even remember it.

The only scene that I can really recall was in a cave and there was some kind of liquid and these creepy humanoid creatures. So...I guess I can't really recall it, haha. It's just vague sense impressions. But reminders of the show fill me with pleasant nostalgia!

Anyway, when I originally watched it, I loved it but I was sort of pre-shipping age (and definitely pre-porn age), so can't help you there.

OP: I don't think there is any porn anywhere. But it's nice seeing that a few people remember it fondly - I feel less lonely with my new fannish interest now. :-)

Oh my gosh, this show. I remember this show :O It's currently airing on my country's equivalent to the sci-fi channel(or I guess that'd be "sy-fy" now?), but I haven't gotten around to watch it. I'm mostly commenting for nostalgia \O/
