and the whole time he's crying, "my apologies, master"

and ciel is like, "i know this is an expression of your OCEAN-DEEP LOVE FOR ME"

and sebastian is like, "yes, master, I devour your soul because i LOVE YOU ENDLESSLY and this way you can stay with me forever in hell because THAT'S WHAT LOVE IS ALL ABOUT"

and ciel responds, "and my letting you eat my soul is an expression of my OVERFLOWING LOVE"

and they agree that the contract that requires sebastian to eat ciel's soul is the TRUEST PROOF OF LOVE THAT EVER COULD BE

and because their LOVE is UNDYING

it lasts FOREVER

in the form of demon chow in hell.

I ship them because a possible relationship would be interesting. A relationship between them would be dark, abuse, fucked up and self-destrctive. They both would want to harm the other one and to reach their goal.

They would hurt each other.
They would destroy each other and basically a happy end is impossible but this is the interesting thing.

But I don't think it is true love. I think Ciel is so broken and lost in his search for revenge that it is impossible for him to have a healthy relationship. And Sebastian? I think he wants this special soul and also revenge against Ciel.

So in my mind there are two broken people who destroy each other even more but this is okay and enough for them.

Aw, OP, don't be depressed. It's already undying love, right there in the anime as we have it. There's a reason it's the fandom's big pairing.

No, it's not expressed with hearts and flowers and tender words, and no, there is never going to be a dramatic declaration of love in conventional romantic terms (a good thing, since it would be horribly out of character for either one of them). That doesn't mean it isn't love.

So does Sebastian's Japanese voice actor. I've lost the link, but he was reported as having said that for Sebastian, the second season had a happily-ever-after kind of ending.
