Re: Creepy/ awkward moments...
Last Thursday I was at Toys'R'Us with my four year nephew looking around and killing time. We were in the Lego section when this large, mountainous man comes walking by. I didn't think anything of it. Probably some dad or uncle buying a toy for some kid or maybe he was Lego fan. Then my nephew and I went to the pre-school toy section and who comes sauntering by? The man. Again, didn't think of anything of it. Then when to the car section. And he right behind me. Then went to the girl section and, yes, he's there to. I look at him and he refuses to look me in the eye. Instead he keeps glancing at my nephew. I take my nephew to the Animal Planet section for one last time to see if this man will indeed follow me there and if he did, I would go to the cashier and report him. Apparently, I didn't need to do so because the staff appears like ninja around me, acting like they are stacking things while they confront the guy if he needs anything. Maybe they were watching him too? I didn't see what happened next because my nephew had picked out a toy and I hurried out paying for it.
I was never scared. In fact, I was angry. Because 1) you threaten my nephew, you get the claws. And 2) I couldn't help but think it is creeps like that guy that give men a bad name. Like my nephew will grow up and he can't go into a toy store alone without people side eyeing him. Thinking that he could be a potential pervert because he is a man.

I don't think you have to be worried about people judging men in toy stores so much as people judging men who follow children around toy stores. I think most people will make the distinction.
