Mix two parts vodka, two parts ginger syrup, and one part fresh squeezed lime juice. Shake well (with ice, iirc) and pour into martini glass.
I'm not sure the exact procedure for making the ginger syrup, but I'm sure you could look that up or something. I think it only involves water, sugar and a fresh ginger root (damn I love those things, they smell so good)
she says she uses Ketel 1 vodka which is $$$$, but I'm sure it would still be good with a cheaper variety.
