Re: Creepy/ awkward moments...

I think the creepiest I've had was when I was at a goth club... I'd danced a couple songs and went to get something to drink (non-alcoholic, I was 19) and people-watch. I noticed this older guy watching me and after a bit he came over and said his younger friend had seen me but was too shy to ask me to dance. And I was at that point, really young and didn't quite know how to say no, and figured, it was just a dance, no big, right?

And the guy was... honestly, Down's or something, and uncomfortably close and handsy and... well, my cousin has Down's and I know at least he don't always understand, so I tried to be nice but firm about comfort zones. But he didn't really get it, and he was like 6'5 and BIG, and I am 4'11 and at the time I was a size 4 so I was pretty intimidated. Because if he didn't get it and tried to be pushy, I didn't really have a way to fight back except to scream and hope I didn't get brushed off as the crazy chick.

I excused myself and he thankfully didn't follow me -- but his friend did and kept bothering me the rest of the night and actually grabbed my wrist at one point and demanded to know why I wouldn't stay with his friend. He insinuated that I should sleep with him and I was like... WTF. If it had just been the other guy, it probably wouldn't have bothered me as much because he obviously really didn't understand and actually DID respect when I backed off -- but this other dude didn't have the same issues and totally KNEW what he was doing. It was fucked up.

I eventually left and was freaking terrified going to my car because it was 2am or so and not a whole lot of people in the parking lot at that point. *shudder*
