The context of that scene was he was goading Arya into trying to kill him and he was trying to piss her off. If anything I imagine Sandor was filled with self-loathing for not protecting Sansa enough and letting her get married to Tyrion ("as opposed to leaving her for the fucking dwarf".)
Similar scene: Tyrion telling Jaime he killed Joffrey. He obviously didn't really kill Joffrey but he was hurt and wanted to hurt Jaime in response to what he found out about Tysha. Not the same dynamic with Sandor/Sansa but you get what I mean.
