Is this the same baldy from secret 12? So maybe he was an abusive asshole and that's why people think he's the scum of the earth?

Yeah, same dude, and he was and still is in canon a horrifically abusive asshole. He's worse this season than ever, which is terrible, because while his wife has finally woken up to it, the dude in the picture (and my icons!) who is his surrogate son is completely indoctrinated and basically suffering Stockholm at this point.

So I just started watching this show on Netflix. I'm only about five episodes into the first season.

Looks like I've got...um...some progressively crazier shit to look forward to, eh?

The character was, in fairness, always meant to be an anti-villian at best.

Between Jesse and Walt? Because I loooooove their relationship. So, so fucked up, manipulative and awful. I can't wait for Jesse to get a fucking clue. But, for now, I'll just sit back and squirm.

Between Walt and Skyler? Their relationship makes me squirm too, but I find their interactions more nerve racking than anything.

I'm with you! Both relationships are so fucked up. In the case of Walt & Jesse I love it, and look forward with a sadistic glee to that moment when Jesse actually realizes how horrible Walt has been this whole time (in general and to him in particular).

With Skyler, I just wish she'd be able to get out / away, but realize that due to the constraints of the show (i.e. the need to keep her as an active character within the plot), that probably won't happen until either she or Walt die.

I kind of adore Jesse and Walter's relationship, as much as it also makes me so sad for Jesse. I look forward to the day he finds out the truth, but I also enjoy the relationship in all its messed up glory right now.

Whereas these days the Walter/Skyler scenes make me want to hide under the bed and/or crawl out of my own skin.

What's with the onslaught of Breaking Bad secrets? At least, I think it's Breaking Bad.

I relate so strongly to Jesse and his need for approval and parental-type love. If only his surrogate father figure were ANYONE ELSE.

I like the Aaron Paul quote that's like, "Jesse is just this lost kid looking for guidance, and then Walter White comes along! ...and ruins his life."

I'd never heard that quote before, but it is so accurate.

IKR. I kinda wish Jesse would adopt Mike as his surrogate, because I think Mike does have a soft spot for him.

My heart shattered when Jesse asked Walt to go go-karting with him and Walt was an ass to him.

I did read a fan theory that Walt will make Todd the new Jesse, because Todd is fucking Todd. Then it would becomes Mike/Jesse vs. Walter/Todd.

Yeah, in general I've come to really like the Jesse/Mike dynamic. Mike looked so SAD when Jesse jumped in front of his gun to protect Walter in their first meeting between them this season. "What is it with you two?" indeed.

(Also: You know a character has gone off the deep end when we're sitting here saying "you know who would be a better surrogate father? That hardened ruthless hitman over there. He has WAY more morals.")

I would love for Mike and Jesse to ride off into the sunset together. :( But knowing BB, both of them will be killed off.

They are horribly fascinating, aren't they? Just make yourself feel better by watching/reading interviews with Aaron & Bryan. They are so in love it's not even funny. <3333
