Taking slaves was a terrible thing, yes. I never said it was good. I'm saying I'm glad the terrible things that went on in my country didn't cause the kind of white guilt they have in the US.

Also, I'm sorry that the horrible things the vikings did to your countrymen hundreds of years ago is causing so much suffering in your day-to-day life. I shall now soak myself in Scandinavian guilt and come out of it a better, if much more bitter, woman. I promise not to oppress you anymore, anon, wherever you live in this world!
