People wanted another one, so...

PANFANDOM REC MEME

"I ship it!"
"I want fic!"
"I want art!"
"I don't care what it is, but I want it!"
"Where's the fandom?"

Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).

Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either! Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

Fandom: Any.
Preferred Medium: Fic.
Preferred Genre: Werewolves, baby.
Characters/Pairings: M/M preferred, doesn't have to be sexual.
Anything else? Details? I'd really appreciate some quality werewolf fic without alpha/omega or D/s dynamics; none whatsoever. I don't care if it's AU fic or original, so long as it's simple enough for me to understand with only a passing knowledge of canon. (For example, this werewolf AU for BBC Sherlock, which I've never seen). I'm trying to avoid any spoilers for big reveals or character deaths for Teen Wolf, which I haven't watched yet, so any recs from that fandom would have to be within those parameters. TIA!

Are you familiar with Gabriel Knight? The following is an AU in which the second game's storyline ends a little differently. It also has a developing M/M relationship between the main characters. However, I think the story might be a little difficult to follow if you don't know the canon.

Nope, not familiar with it, and the first chapter seems a bit puzzling despite my Wikipedia visit, but I'm willing to give anything a chance for werewolves. Thanks!

If you need a really, really short version of the canon story, Gabriel is an American paranomal hunter who now lives in his ancestral castle in Germany with Gerde, who is kind of a housekeeper. He and his assistant Grace were investigating a series of killings and discovered they were the work of werewolves. The alpha and his beta (von Glower and von Zell) were part of an elite men's hunting club. Gabriel killed von Zell but not before being bitten and turned into a werewolf himself. He and Grace orchestrated von Glower's death with the help of a lost Wagner opera, and Gabriel was freed from the curse. Also of note is that von Glower was the lover of Ludwig II of Bavaria and turned him into a werewolf, which is why Ludwig's spirit was unable to move on to the afterlife and contacted Grace, asking her to kill von Glower for him.

The fic starts right before von Glower would have died in canon and develops into a different direction.

That is a slightly weird but very helpful summary, lol, better than the wiki entry. The first chapter makes a lot more sense now, thanks.

Are you okay with het pairings, or is M/M a must?

Because I want to pimp this Harry Potter fic everywhere I can. :O

It starts sort of average, but it totally gets better as the author hits his stride, and it's so odd to see Werewolf!Harry without it turning into a Mary Sue Fest.

Het is fine! Especially anything with Cho Chang and without Sue!Harry. Thanks!

Gundam Wing, modern-word AU: Blood or Chocolate? by KKChitown. Comedy, Suspense, R, Wufei/Duo. complete at 22 chapters, 70,947 words

author's summary: Duo Maxwell is an almost average guy in a small town. He works at the only gas station for miles around, is gorgeous, but single. But what makes him different is that he's a clairvoyant. So when he runs across a man whose thoughts he can't hear, although trying to gives him nosebleeds, he decides that that is a fair trade. That is until he finds out that the guy isn't a typical 'guy,' and that getting involved with him only leads to trouble...and a few dead bodies.

This is a fun one! It isn't often you find a murder mystery disguised as a comedy. The fic does contain some romance, but it happens fast and isn't the true focus of the story--which is the murder mystery. The sudden romance does fit with the author's rendering of Duo and Wufei, though, so in this case, it works. I enjoyed the fic muchly, and while it does have some plot holes, the story and writing render them (somewhat) easily overlooked.

Ooh, an epic GW AU, never thought I'd get one of those, and 2x5 to boot. Thank you!

Those are my favorites, too, haha, I love Simon and Holm! I wish the author would write more about them so I could read more, lol.

Ha! I'm glad someone else has read them, at least. I rec them every chance I get.

I do have one more rec that I just remembered. Don't know if you've ever read Due South fic? But Wild Thing by rispacooper is really good (and insanely hot): http://archiveofourown.org/works/183654

Hope you enjoy Teen Wolf whenever you get around to watching it. It's kind of ridiculous but so very addictive. <3

(And I just saw your profile, James Vega? Is Mass Effect's gift to the male-inclined everywhere.)

I'm familiar with Due South, and I'm always a fan of insanely hot, thank you! I hope to watch Teen Wolf soon, it seems right up my alley.

(Haha, I could legit write poetry about Vega's rippling pectorals.)
