People wanted another one, so...

PANFANDOM REC MEME

"I ship it!"
"I want fic!"
"I want art!"
"I don't care what it is, but I want it!"
"Where's the fandom?"

Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).

Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either! Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

Seconding "28 Days Later".

Skip "28 Weeks Later" though.

Actually, 28 Weeks Later is pretty realistic too, given the scenario. If the "disaster" was contained, but hostile, of course NATO forces from unaffected countries would be sent in.

Less survival and more military, however.

Which is underdone in another way. In order to emphasize the plight of the survivors or turn "regular people" into fighters, most shows/books/etc. write out the military in the most trite, least believable way possible. (E.g. "And then they all died. Because zombies. Zombies are especially deadly against F-series supersonic fighter jets. What, haven't you seen the surface-to-air missile zombies? They lock on with undead satellites.)

So yeah, in that regard 28 Weeks Later is a lot more realistic than most survival shit, especially most zombie survival shit. Modern weaponry > human bodies shuffling around.
