It's happened to me several times with manga or a fanfic.
Also, Skip Beat is finished?!

Ack, no, sorry to give you that impression. I've read every volume released in the US and then the scans that have been updated to like, two weeks ago, and I'm like...now what? Because I discovered it so late (just bought the first omnibus on a lark and then became obsessed) I got to get through huge chunks of story without waiting. And suddenly I'm down to a chapter a month. It's a very weird feeling.

I know the feeling, I started reading the manga about 2 years ago and was obsessed with it as well and I got so tired of having to wait for new chapters I don't even find very interesting I stopped checking for updates a few months ago.
I'm only a little sad it's not finished, just means it'll be a couple more years for me to read it.
