Disney isn't the only one. That movie fucking sucked, and I wish Disney would sell off the rights so someone else can do it properly.

Yeah, it was a terrible adaptation of a great book. But I'm still a little bitter about this because Eilonwy is one of my favourite fictional characters ever, and her characterization was one of the few things that movie got right.

I have to disagree there. In the books, she may have been a Talkative Loon, but was also very often the only person in the party who had a single lick of sense and her head on straight, and had no qualms giving Taran the verbal cuff on the head that he needed to get his shit together. In the movie, she was reduced to little more than a walking plot device with a bit of cheerleading at the end.

It's very true the movie ripped the poor (awesome) book apart, but I gotta say, as a kid who saw the movie first, it was at least impressively dark for Disney.
