Sounds like me and /a/. OP, a lot of guys on the internet are hopeless and actually kind of pitiful. I gave up on expecting to fit in male-dominated fandoms, especially with competitive games (though I do like those fandoms, I just keep to myself or other girls). It always boils down to either whiteknighting or hostile misogyny. Not all guys are like that... at least that's what I think.
