I'd hesitate to put everybody in the "just don't know yet" box either.

There are gay and straight people out there who end up with somebody that doesn't fit in those boxes, because they just happened to find their exception.

While that does tend to make one reevaluate their own status, that doesn't necessarily mean they just assumed they were one thing because society.
