Happy Endings and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are my other two favorite comedies along with Arrested Development. Happy Endings you should definitely check out. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is awesome if you're not easily offended, but it can be pretty fucked up sometimes. I can't think of anything specifically sexist but it's one of those things that makes fun of everyone/everything so I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's something sexist that I'm forgetting.

I also really love Louie but I really don't find it at all similar to Arrested Development.

And my newest favorite show that I'm seriously pissed only got one season, GCB. It's a comedy with some political/religious satire and some musical elements and I love it, but it definitely won't appeal to everyone. If you're non-religious and left-leaning it's hilarious, but otherwise it might not be your thing.

My other favorite canceled show is Terriers, which is a drama about private investigators and is seriously amazing.

And I just noticed they need to be on Netflix. I know Terriers is (or at least was at one point...do they take stuff off?) but I'm not sure about the others.

I love all the other shows you mentioned so I will definitely have to give Terriers a watch.

Thanks!

You're welcome! It's not particularly similar to any of the other shows I mentioned (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Louie are probably the closest, which makes sense because it was also on FX, but I can't really think of anything to compare it to, honestly) but the writing and acting are both so good. I seriously wish it had lasted longer than one season.

So much love for Terriers! I'm glad the last ep at least had a feeling of an ending, as brief as the series was...

Yeah, I loved the ending, and how even though it was ambiguous, it didn't feel unfinished. I remember reading in an interview with the head writer what would've happened if it'd come back for another season, but honestly, I thought the ending they had was perfect.

Unlike stupid GCB, which ended with cliffhangers/everything up in the air and lots of drama for my favorite characters and you have no idea what happens to them. /still bitter

I've actually seen a few episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and I find it generally enjoyable, so yeah, I'll seek out the others. Happy Endings has been added to my list, and my best friend loves Louie, so I definitely plan to check it out.

I love Kristin Cheno, and I'm a fairly left-leaning Jew, so I'll totally look for GCB! I was busy angsting over the cancelation of Awake, so I missed Terriers- I'll have to look into it.
