I have no idea how it got so huge. I like the dynamic in a lot of the fic, but they exchanged, like, three lines in Thor. WHAT. HOW. WHEN.

Also, I'm starting to get a little side-eye-ish over the fact that people jumped on Clint/Coulson like white on rice and tripped all over themselves headcanoning and adding more fuel to the fire in The Avengers even though they never interacted with each other or reacted to each other's plot threads in any meaningful way, but decided that that whole scene where Coulson dies practically in Fury's arms while reassuring him and calling him "sir" and Fury begs him to keep his eyes on him and cradles him with more emotion than all of his scenes in the entire movie series put together should warrant approximately zero-point-three shippy fics. And I don't even ship Fury/Coulson at all because it would be a boring dynamic for me personally (of course, some good fic might convince me otherwise...oh wait, there isn't any).

(I know, I know, it's partly because there weren't nearly as many options in Thor as there were in The Avengers, but I'm still sticking to this irritation and I will continue to insinuate things and whine annoyingly about this on principle).
