I spent all of this evening phone banking for Planned Parenthood, so I might as well spread the word to the denizens of the internet. If you're in Minnesota, South Dakota or North Dakota, this site has stuff for pledging to vote, and information for registering:

I'm rooting for you to grab ahold of Minnesota, but you're wasting your time with North and South Dakota. I live in North Dakota, and I'm still going to vote, but I have no illusions that my vote is going to mean anything because everyone around me is going to vote red and it's been like that for a long time.

Pretty much a bummer, actually, but I wish you luck.

Ha ha, this. My one little area will be really blue, I bet, but the rest of the state will be red as hell.

It's really depressing, isn't it? I kind of hate the electoral college for the way that it is, because since I live in the wrong state I mean basically nothing to the voting process at all.

I know it's my 'civic duty' and I plan to do it anyway, but even just thinking about voting really just bums me out.

With the redistricting, I hope this will be the year we finally boot Steve King out of Congress! Amid all the Republicans trying to distance themselves from Congressman Akin, King has backed Akin up and is whining that he's a fine Christian man who shouldn't be judged by what he says.
