I adore Matt Bomer, but I can never remember Cavill's face. Looking at these images, Bomer's face is much prettier than Cavill's, I think, and from what I remember of Cavill, Bomer's slimmer as well.

They're both ugly, overrated d-bags with brown hair and the exact same face. The vast majority of Hollywood actors look alike to me. I seriously made it through about three quarters of a movie with two major actors, not realizing they weren't the same person (granted, the movie seriously bored me, so I wasn't paying much attention, but it still shows how alike so many famous actors look). You have to be able to recognize really subtle differences in faces to tell them apart.

Seriously. I know nothing about Henry Cavill, but from what I know of Matt Bomer, he's far from a "d-bag".

I agree with the same face bit of your comment. I usually have to pick out something distinctive to tell people apart, and I can get mixed up if there's a lot of the same hairstyle or conventionally attractive nose or whatever.

Henry Cavill has a wider Jaw and somewhat bigger nose. Also his hair is curly whereas Matt Bomer is more straight/wavy... Matt Bomer doesn't have a buttchin. Hmmm there might be more, but that's all I can tell from those pics

I can see the resemblance there, but Cavill makes me swoon, whereas Bomer has always reminded me strongly of several asshole male relatives of mine who were taught from day one that they could do no wrong and the entire world revolved around them. I have no idea why my mind makes that connection with him and not with Cavill (and I understand from all accounts that Bomer is a really decent person,) but it's a powerful turnoff, visceral and deep. I don't see me ever enjoying any of his performances, which is my loss, I guess.
