I think it would be interesting too. I feel like, strangely, they all really complement each other. The only thing is that I can't see Zoicite and Kunzite as anything other than completely gay for each other. But Jadeite/Rei yessss.

I really want them to involve the Shitennou more!!!!!! One of my major rage-points from the anime, they never got their redemption. And the Asteroid Senshi... "Maybe we'll see them again sometime!" thanks for that hint that you'll be back in Stars, and then we never see them again >___< Meanwhile, the Black Moon Sisters get a completely random and unnecessary redemption arc?

Anyway, I don't even care if it's romance, I just want more generals, period.

As I recall, Mars swears off men. And I'd rather Matako, with her own set of problems with men, found someone less pre-destined.

It's all too matchy-matchy anyway.

Mars just doesn't like dudes in the beginning, but in the Stars manga, she and Venus both go "hey, we don't need dudes, we're important to the Princess" when the Starlights ask.

I can't stand the senshi/shitennou pairings. It's as if someone realized that there were four guy characters who could be paired up with the inner senshi and suddenly it's like 'OTP forever' 'Naoko said it was canon'!!

Yeah, other than the picture in the art book, that's pretty much the entire basis for these ships. /Yawn

Kunzite/Zoicite forever, but I think the idea is really interesting and I do have to admit I have a soft spot for Jadeite/Rei.

I would really love to just see more of the Shitennou, because they were always my favorite of all Sailor Moon's antagonist.

Would love more of the four guys, but... Not in ships. :/ It's waaaaay too neat and tidy and pre-destined.

I wouldn't mind the Shitennou getting more fleshed out or having some redemption and going back to be bros with Mamoru, but I wouldn't want to see them paired with the Senshi. I always really liked that the girls were so focused on their friendships with each other and never really paired off with guys.

I know it's a little too "pair the spares" but I wouldn't mind this.

Mainly because I spent a lot of time in the manga and the old anime feeling really badly for the inner senshi because they were all really lonely. Minako is apparently destined to always choose duty over love and has a real sadness about it.

If they could get redeemed and be with the inner senshi I'd be all for that.

I wouldn't mind one or two senshi getting paired up or general development for all the generals, but not all the senshi with all the generals.

I almost think PGSM did it best, there was UST between Ami/Nephrite, totally!different!personality!Motoki/Makoto, and Minako and Rei got to swan off and do their own little thing together.

Maybe if they did more with flashbacks and showing them in their past lives, but I don't think they could have them become, like, steady boyfriends for the other sailor scouts without it messing with the dynamic of the show.

Plus, I've been looking at people reviewing Sailor Moon and it's made me appreciate a lot of things I didn't put a lot of thought into when I was a kid. Like that (manga)Rei is aromantic and the way the girls support each other at any cost. Giving them all super-powered boyfriends would probably cut in on the awesome female friendships they got going on, and I don't want that at all.

The only one of these pairings I like is Minako/Kunzite, but even then, I kind of prefer Minako shipped with Rei.

It does look pretty in the pictures, but it's a wee bit too predestined hetero for me. We got enough of that with Mamoru and Usagi. But it would have been very nice if Mamoru had some friends of his own. I didn't realize it before, but he was always the awkward dude out with the girls and their awesome friendships. Who did he talk to when Usagi grated on his last nerve? Because lord knows it must have happened.

i have always loved these pairings,the musicals and the manga even hinted at them. fandom wise, shittenou/senshi fic is some of the best fanfiction i have had ever read.

I....didn't really care about them, show or manga series. And besides, I ship the shit out of the senshi with each other. So....the Shittenou can stay dead. Besides, they weren't exactly dead, per se. They came and helped Mamoru during the black moon arc in the manga, didn't they? Or something? *gotta reread that part again*

I think I would like to see more of the Shitennou as actual characters - interacting with each other, with Mamoru, etc. rather than being there just to have a relationship with the Inner Senshi.

~~Also, I totally ship the 'wrong' pairings when it comes to Shitennou/Senshi. Kunzite/Venus is okay, but I'd rather see Nephrite with Mars rather than Jupiter. /shot~~

I kind of support Jadeite/Mars and I don't even know why. But the shittenou could definitely use more characterization this time around. Especially Jadeite.

The idea is interesting, and some of the fanfic and fanart for these pairings can be awesome, but I always thought Jupiter & Zoisite (clearly the "nature"-powered senshi belongs with the Shitennou who represents Spring!) and Mercury & Nephrite (I loved how they snuck this into PGSM) worked way better.

I agree with most of the other comments here--I would like lots more Shitennou, but having them romancing the Sailor Senshi isn't really necessary.

I liked that aspect of the manga, that they use to be guardians or warriors for Mamoru. It made sense and yet that was left out of the anime entirely. I would have liked to see those pairings more explored too. They were hinted at, a tiny bit, and not followed through nearly enough.
