I am a P/C shipper to my bone marrow. Even though all my current OTPs are femslash, I will always adore P/C. From the age of 13, seeing Picard shipped with anybody else gave me rage I've not gotten over. And fics where Beverly was with somebody else made me backspace like hell.
In that context I was shocked to find myself reading B/K and actually really digging it. Occasionally when I'm working out (which is when I do most of my most random brain!shipping) I imagine them on Earth post-Nemesis hanging out with Kate Pulaski, and being the adorable lesbian power couple of SFHQ. So the ship has won me over a bit at least.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-24 08:42 am (UTC)(link)I do love P/C, they're completely adorable. I was guilty the first time I wrote Beverly with anyone else. I thought there would be tons of wank and there was some, but it settled and then it was nice. Really strong P/C OTP folks were nice to me about it and I felt so loved.
I may have triggered some LGBT acceptance issues that I still have but I'm so happy with it at the moment.
I love your idea.
