(Anonymous) 2012-08-23 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)where I live, government provides almost free college education (the fees are very small and you probably expend more on photocopies, stuff for presentations and the like than anything else)
granted, it's sort of a Russian Roulette because you might come away with an awesome professor or an utter slacker that almost never shows up so now you have 2-4 hours without nothing to do
and there's also the gang/student unions problems...
and you do have to beat a certain score to get a place (the more sought-after the career is, the higher it is)
