I swear, sometimes I still think they did that intentionally. The only other pairs that are that close together are Ken and...oh god I've forgotten her name, it's been too long, Miyako/Yolei? Something like that? But they're canonically married, and Joe and Sora, which...only makes it look like Sora hooked up with him after her and Matt broke up.

I didn't even ship them as a kid (although I do now) but even as a kid I thought it looked really weird that they're standing so close together.

...Also I just realized that Davis and TK are mysteriously missing, where did they go? :|a

Nononono, I'm just saying that the only two characters standing as close as Matt and Tai are the other canon married couple and Joe and Sora, which just makes it look even more like Matt and Sora broke up since they're both standing closer to other people than each other.

It's probably just because of Piyomon's placement though. As much as I want it to be that Matt and Tai are an item now, pffft.
