Janeway is my favorite, too! It actually broke my heart when Chakotay and Seven got together because I knew that J/C could never happen because she was The Boss. Sob!

You weren't the only one. I think hating C/7 is the one thing J/7 and J/C shippers can agree on. I mean, really. The pairing just made no fucking sense and only happened to make Beltran stop bitching and moaning.

IIRC he was threatening to leave the show if his character didn't get together with 7. He also was against a Chakotay/Janeway pairing. Read into that what you will.

Oh that's disappointing to hear because I always loathed Chakotay and 7 together, well I couldn't stand her anyhow. I liked him with Janeway. I'm really quite shocked to read that, but I have heard he had a lot of complaints with the show.

Mind I do think his character was emasculated a lot.
