WHEE! I have never stopped shipping Picard/Crusher. I wish the books hadn't done it like they had, because that unnamed author is a lame romance writer. And I TOTES shipped Chakotay/Janeway, until they made it so clear that the actors or writers or characters hated it or whatever. I can't even remember and it still totally soured the relationship for me.

Off on a tangent, or maybe not because it also involves multiple ST pairings and acceptance, I must say that I've never figured out how Star Trek in all its incarnations managed to make me 'ship so many "canon" pairings (or at least canon UST pairings). Dude, I was all about the Riker/Troi and the Troi/Worf and the Jadzia/Worf and the Odo/Kira and the Janeway/Chakotay and the Trip/T'Pol and etc. The ST writers may have screwed them all up at some point, admittedly. (I wish there were more slashy pairings, though. Does Trip/Malcolm count?)
