ME3 Spoiler. Just some random rant

I'm still not over Shephard's death, it's ridiculous.

I swear when she was sitting there with Anderson and Admiral Hackett voxed her and her first reaction was "Okay, what do you need me to do?" even though she was half dead and tired and thought she had done it... it really broke my heart.

I just can't get over the fact that she did so much and went through hell and back and still did not get to see the peaceful galaxy she made possible. My Shephard was paragon so she saved the goddamn geth and quarians, letting Legion sacrifice himself and telling EDI to just be as independent as she wants to be... and to make all that count she had to die. Arrrrrrh!
And don't let me get started on her LI. I feel so horrible for leaving her LI behind!

I guess what I'm saying is that I have an inappropriate amount of FEELS and I still cry when I hear the ending and I needed to vent that somewhere.

Yeah, Shepard's story is pretty much the perfect example of the tragic hero who chooses to give up everything for the greater good. Even in the best case scenario, it's a downer...but also really admirable, because Shepard accomplished things no one else ever had and did not sacrifice in vain.

My Shepard was a pretty awful person because she did things mostly Renegade (but she forced peace on Rannoch). And in the Citadel scenes in the end she seemed kind of tired of it all anyway. The one regret was leaving her LI behind especially after the final goodbye in the Extended Cut DAMN YOU GARRUS.

I like to hope that she lived through the Destroy ending, but EDI and the geth.... argh.

Mass Effect is a series with a lot of feelings and ugly sobbing. :(

DAMN YOU GARRUS indeed! I was this close to choosing Destroy just so that I could give him the happy ending he deserved. He was always there for me and I left him!

I haven't even played ME3 past the escape from Earth in the demo, and I already know that I'm going to want to throw things when I finally finish it, no matter which ending I pick. If I ever do finish writing my headcanon version, I'm definitely messing with the ending.
