Awwww...their only friend helped them put together their feminism list of links, so that they won't have to explain their feelings or use words discussing why things make them uncomfortable!

And pathetic.

I hate how ineffectual this person is. It's like listening to a toddler talk about science. They clearly have some idea that science is out there but they can only explain the most superficial elements of it, and so choose to post pictures of scientists looking into microscopes (hey, let's keep this metaphor!)so that other people can see science in action, too. There is no explanation of how, what, or why the scientist is researching, no learning of how to be a scientist (in this case, scientist means feminist, not misogynist) yourself, just stock photos of people in lab coats.

In the end, no one learns anything from this person that they didn't know before. No one is moved, converted, or educated. There's no more depth to this than there is to pictures of kittens.

I think I hate tumblr.

I'm kind of out of it but this seemed really, really deep. Like how tumblr users posts gifs of emotions to simulate having them because they've deadened themselves to any genuine reaction with their incessant scrolling and clicking.

Not even gonna lie, Tumblr kinda scares me and this is basically why.

On the other hand, I was almost kind of considering getting one. And then this happened and reminded me why I hadn't yet! So I guess I can thank them for keeping me from getting a Tumblr.

I don't do Tumblr, but I've noticed a lot of AO3 tags on fics are fashioned like Tumblr tags and it's starting to make me twitchy. Story tags aren't the place for your feels. Put that in the authors notes if you just have to tell us how many sads you have because poor Tony or whatever.

Haha I actually don't mind when they do that on AO3 because that just tells me what stories NOT to read. . .

I'm on tumblr a lot, and sometimes it's nice, but sometimes it's really fucking irritating. Like today when one of the Sherlock series 3 episodes was revealed to have something to do with a wedding. Tumblr exploded in misogyny and sexism. Very irritating indeed.

See, annoying tags/author's notes can be misleading. Because sometimes the writing can really great, and then you remember that this person is probably in high school. It makes me feel a little skeevy. (But, I was writing porn when I was 12, so.)

I'm assuming there was a lot of butthurt over the assumption Sherlock/John isn't going to be canon? (Yeah, right, but you never know.) The "Move bitch, get out the way!" attitude is tiresome, isn't it?
