No, while I appreciate y'alls links and all, you don't understand the point of my secret, which is to say: that which is created by the HP fandom at large will generally be insane and/or retarded, and if I want to get what I really want I'm going to have to do it myself, GOD EFFING DAMN IT.

MY SECRET IS THAT I HATE THE HP FANDOM AND DON'T TRUST THEM TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT MORE OR LESS I GUESS

I actually do understand. I really do.

If I see a fic mention leather pants, I'm hitting the back button faster than you can say "Harry gets a summer makeover".

BUT THERE ARE QUALITY FICS OUT THERE WRITTEN BY HP FANS. You just have to wade through a lot of shit to find them.

I don't blame you for not wanting to try.

I LIKE YOU, ANONYMOUS--YOU ARE AFTER MY OWN HEART. 8D Seriously, though--I get the impression that any number of people have now gotten into that pairing who never were big into the other dubious pleasures of HP fandom/were never in HP fandom at all. (I've run across a lot of 'I've never shipped in this fandom before, *but*'.) And there *is* goodfic being produced, at least one or two stories.
